Nicole

All my life I have struggled with weight loss trying to fit into society's image that being skinny meant you were beautiful. In this pandemic I've learned to embrace who I am and love the skin that I'm in. I'm learning to make healthier choices as it relates to my diet but I'm also learning to love beautiful woman with the love handles, big thighs and a large midsection; yep she is me! I'm also learning that my outside appearance doesn't personify my beauty. My beauty exudes from the inside to portray the smart, giving, loving and generous beautiful black woman I am on the outside. So today, I have overcome self-doubt. I now look at my sisters who are not plus size and smile thinking our black is beautiful.

If I had to describe my #ChicPersonality in one word, it would be Overcomer
